Not at all. If you purchaced the replacement igniter you might notice a connection. This igniter is kinda of a universal. Shut the power. Cut the two wires about an inch from the connection. Take off the old igniter and cut those two wires. connect with ceramic wire nuts. Screw back on and your in buisness. Good luck.
